Start a Milestone​

Starting a milestone marks the beginning of a key phase in your testing project. Once a milestone is started, linked test runs can begin execution, and progress tracking becomes active.

How to Start a Milestone

  1. Navigate to the Milestones Timeline dashboard.

  2. Locate the milestone you want to start.

  3. Click the Start button on the right side.

  4. Select a start date and click Start to initiate the milestone.

  5. The milestone status updates to STARTED, allowing linked test runs to proceed.

Once a milestone has started, test execution results will be reflected in real-time under the Overall Run Status and Run Activity sections.

Stop a Milestone​

Stopping a milestone temporarily halts its activities. This action can be useful when the milestone needs to be paused, delayed, or deferred.

How to Stop a Milestone

  1. Navigate to the Milestones Timeline dashboard.

  2. Locate the milestone you want to stop.

  3. Click Stop Milestone from the ⋮ (options) menu .

  4. Once stopped, the milestone’s Start date will be reset to empty.

Stopping a milestone effectively pauses all associated tasks and prevents the milestone from moving forward until it is resumed.
